Babies make an easy transition from their early swimming reflexes into swimming movements. Research shows that babies who start to swim at an early stage perform better in tests measuring social, academic, motor and personality developments. Babies are often more alert for their age with better eating and sleeping patterns.
Little Floaters offer a gentle and loving approach without pressure. Babies are taught to move freely in water without the use of buoyancy aids helping water confidence, which is conducive to swimming at such a time when your baby is both physically and emotionally ready. Each stage is dictated by your baby and we use signals that reinforce communication. In the water, you have the opportunity of uninterrupted, close time with your baby, and it can allow you to discover your baby in a new way.
Swimming with your baby promotes closeness and develops skills for later life.
Water is a liberating environment for babies allowing them to move freely without the constraints of gravity.
All Little Floaters Baby Swimming Instructors have trained with Birthlight, an educational charity founded by Francoise Barbira Freedman that promotes an integrated holistic approach to pregnancy, birth and babyhood. Its main objective is to enhance well being and enjoyment for parents and their babies before and after birth.
They are also STA Qualified, hold a Poolside Helper Certificate, are fully insured and Police Checked.
